BBC and RugbyPass cover the Premiership. Your 2nds still live in a WhatsApp photo of the scoreboard nobody can read.
Parents who couldn’t travel, players warming up on the next pitch, and the injured lad at home all want the same thing: the score as it happens, on the phone they already have, without a second app.
That’s live scoring. The score as it happens, in the same app the club already uses.

While the match is being scored, Schedule and the fixture show a LIVE badge and the current score.
Tap through to see who scored, and in which half, updating as you go. People who haven’t got the app can follow the same score in a browser if the club has a public page.

A ping when your team scores
Anyone in that team’s section (for example Seniors) gets a ping when a try or a goal goes on, and another at full time. Yellow cards and missed kicks stay off their phones.
The team has to belong to a section, or nobody gets those pings. Put the 1sts in Seniors and the colts in Juniors under Sections & teams so the right phones buzz.

Rugby: contact and touch
Contact
Tries, conversions, penalties, drop goals and penalty tries, across two halves — the scoring everyone already knows.
Touch
Tries by quarter, and match points from who won each quarter. Parents still see it live. The section still gets the ping on a try.
Football: halves
Football is first and second half. A goal or a scored penalty is 1.
An own goal sits on the side that put it in; the score goes to the other team. When you confirm full time, goals, assists and cards go into the same player stats as any other match.

People who haven’t got the app can still follow
Grandparents, the opposition, someone who hasn’t downloaded the app — they can still watch the score in a browser.
Turn on the club’s public page in Manage Club → Public page, and publish the fixture. Anyone you send the link to sees the same LIVE score as in the app, updating as you tap it in. See how public club pages look.
The public page doesn’t show moves, payments, or who’s in the squad.

After the whistle
Full time goes on the season
When the manager confirms full time, the result goes into club results and player stats — including season tables and a result image you can share. Nobody scored it live? You can still add the result afterwards.
Only one person scores at a time, so two phones can’t fight over the same try.

Is this live Premiership scores?
No. This is your club’s match — 1sts, 2nds, colts — scored by a manager on the touchline. For internationals use BBC or RugbyPass.
Is live scoring free?
Yes. It’s included with the rest of the app — you don’t pay extra.
Who gets a ping when someone scores?
People in that team’s section. If the team isn’t in a section, nobody gets the alert. Yellow cards and missed kicks don’t ping anyone.
Does it work for football?
Yes. Rugby and football can score live. Cricket clubs still put the scorecard in after the game.
What about touch rugby?
Yes. Touch is tries by quarter; contact is halves and the usual points.
Can people who haven’t got the app follow?
Yes. Turn on the club’s public page and publish the fixture. Anyone with the link can watch the score in a browser.
