Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 30 March 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Get The Game On mobile application and related services.
1. Introduction and who we are
1.1 Get The Game On ("we", "our", "us") is operated as a sole trader and runs the Get The Game On mobile application and related services (together, the "Service"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Get The Game On.
1.2 Contact details
- Email: garethtyler2@gmail.com
- Address: 96 Spencer Way, NP19 4BU
1.3 By using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. The Service and your account
2.1 What the Service is
Get The Game On is a sports team and club management app. It allows users to:
- join and manage club membership, teams, fixtures, training sessions, and events
- set and view availability and selection for fixtures and training
- communicate with clubs (for example messages and announcements)
- pay for club products (for example membership fees, match fees, event fees) in-app
- in some cases, find or join casual games or fixtures open to non-members
2.2 Account and eligibility
- You must create an account to use most features and provide accurate information.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- If you are under 18, you should have parent or guardian permission.
- Parents/guardians may create or manage child/guest profiles linked to their account and remain responsible for use and payments on those profiles.
2.3 Account security
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
2.4 Suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or for other serious reasons (for example fraud, abuse, or legal compliance). We will try to give notice where reasonable.
3. Club payments, Stripe and fees
3.1 How payments work
- Clubs create products and set their own prices.
- When you pay in-app, you are paying the club (the seller), not Get The Game On.
- We facilitate payment collection and records but do not sell the club's products.
3.2 Stripe Connected Accounts
- We use Stripe Connect to enable clubs to receive payments into their own connected Stripe accounts.
- Payment processing, account onboarding, risk checks, holds, reserves, payout timing, and account status decisions are handled by Stripe under Stripe's terms.
- By using payment features, you also agree to applicable Stripe terms and card/network rules.
3.3 Fees and pricing model
- Users pay the product price shown at checkout.
- For standard clubs, our fee model is:
- first successful payment in a calendar month for that club: a flat GBP 2.00
- all other successful payments in that month: 2.49% + GBP 0.20 per transaction
- The GBP 2.00 amount is used to recover Stripe connected-account monthly costs we incur in months where a connected account takes payments.
- For selected clubs (for example commercial/pro arrangements), we may apply a different agreed fee model.
3.4 Currency
- Fees are calculated in the same currency as the payment.
- Examples in these Terms are shown in GBP.
3.5 Fee changes
- We may change our fee model or presentation of fees.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice of any material increase unless a shorter notice period is required by law, security, or urgent compliance reasons.
- Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept updated fees.
4. Refunds, cancellations and disputes
4.1 Refunds
- Refunds for club products are primarily between the payer and the club.
- We do not guarantee that a club will approve a refund.
- If a full refund is made through supported payment flows, we will attempt to apply fee reversals in line with our then-current Stripe/fee configuration and policy.
4.2 Chargebacks and disputes
- If you dispute a payment with your card issuer, funds may be reversed.
- Please contact the club and us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
- You may be liable to a club or to us where a dispute is found invalid (for example, where the service/product was provided).
5. Clubs, managers and legal responsibility
5.1 Clubs using the Service to collect payments are responsible for:
- products/prices they set and what they deliver
- tax and legal compliance in their jurisdiction
- ensuring they are legally allowed to sell and collect funds for their activities
- manager permissions and actions carried out on behalf of the club
5.2 Payouts
Payouts are made by Stripe to connected accounts, subject to Stripe rules. We are not responsible for payout delays, holds, reserves, or account restrictions imposed by Stripe or banks.
6. Fantasy leagues, competitions and prohibited use
6.1 The Service may include fantasy league features and optional paid entry flows configured by clubs.
6.2 Club responsibility for competitions
Where a club runs a paid-entry fantasy league, prize pool, sweepstake, or similar competition, that club is solely responsible for:
- organising and administering the competition
- validating participant eligibility
- complying with all gambling, lottery, prize competition, consumer, and tax laws
- publishing and enforcing fair competition rules
- awarding prizes and handling participant complaints
6.3 No operator role by Get The Game On
Get The Game On provides software tooling only and does not act as promoter, bookmaker, lottery operator, stakeholder, trustee, or prize guarantor for club-run competitions.
6.4 Prohibited use
You must not use the Service for illegal betting, unlawful lotteries, pool betting schemes, or any gambling activity that is not fully compliant with applicable law and licensing requirements.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break any law or encourage others to do so
- harass, abuse, defame, or threaten others
- impersonate others, commit fraud, or attempt unauthorised payments
- gain unauthorised access to systems or data
- disrupt, overload, or undermine the Service
We may remove content or suspend accounts where we reasonably believe this section has been breached.
8. Intellectual property and licence
8.1 The Service (including text, design, graphics, logos, and software) is owned by us or our licensors.
8.2 We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for personal/club use in accordance with these Terms. You must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or use the Service to build a competing product.
9. Privacy and data
9.1 Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data.
9.2 We use third-party providers including Supabase and Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (including liability for fraud, and for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
10.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- the Service is provided "as is"
- we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure operation
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, or data)
- we are not liable for actions/content of clubs, managers, users, Stripe, or other third parties
10.3 Our total liability for claims relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of:
- amounts you paid us directly in the 12 months before the claim, or
- GBP 100
11. Ending your use of the Service
11.1 You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion through available app/account controls.
11.2 We may suspend or terminate access as described in these Terms.
11.3 Clauses that should survive termination (including accrued fees, liability limits, and governing law) continue to apply.
12. Changes to these Terms
12.1 We may update these Terms from time to time for legal, operational, security, or product reasons.
12.2 We will provide notice of material changes and, where required, seek renewed acceptance.
13. General
13.1 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and applicable in-app rules, form the agreement between you and Get The Game On.
13.2 Severability
If one part is invalid, the rest remains in force.
13.3 No waiver
Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
13.4 Third-party rights
No person other than you and Get The Game On has rights to enforce these Terms.
13.5 Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any non-excludable consumer rights in your place of residence.
